Derms of Push-Pull

Derms of push-pull are a variety of rogue derm that form from individuals who had a vengeful prankster mentality mixed with some chronic hatred. You can think of a derm of push-pull as a paranormal houseguest menace. They are often misconstrued as ghosts.

Derms of push-pull use force and manipulate gravity to push and pull. Derms of push-pull tend to disturb cats and dogs by causing doors to slam and children's toys to move on their own. They can even cause the feeling of being pushed or touched, or they can pull a blanket off the bed and drag it to the floor. Derms of push-pull can actually create a pushing power. They can push somebody from behind, they can bump into their shoulder, they can drag a doll across the floor, they can levitate a bed, they can rock and shake a bed. A certain derm of push-pull variety can create what seems to be a poltergeist.

Most of the time, these derms of push-pull are harmless, although a person can become injured by a blunt object or a blunt force, or their face could get slammed by a door opening. Or on extreme rare occasions, someone could even get pushed down a staircase against their will or killed in a “freak accident.” This is what happened in the case of the SS Watertown ghost story in the 1920s when two men died on the ship and were thrown overboard to be buried at sea. As the ship continued to travel for miles, the crew would spot the two men appear again repeatedly, with their heads bobbling up on the surface of the water near the ship. There was no explanation for it, so they photographed these two men's heads floating in the water to document the phenomenon.

The truth is, they weren't ghosts. This was a trick played by demons on the men and the captain of the ship. That's the kind of power demons have in some instances. Two demons inhabiting the oil tanker were the reason why the men died in the first place. They caused the freak accident that killed the men, then after their souls left their bodies, the demons entered and inhabited the men's bodies. Their physical bodies were being dragged by demonic force.
