Derms of Ceiling

A type of rogue derm, derms of ceiling are a very common demon variety for people to see at night as shapeshifting figures near the ceiling. People often catch sight of one of these demons when they open their eyes half-awake at night, then they turn on a light and it's gone.

Derms of ceiling can hang from any ceiling of any building or institution, not specifically houses. They usually hang two to three feet from the ceiling like a spider, as figures that tend not to take the shape of a humanoid and instead shapeshift into different shadowy shapes. A sighting of a derm of ceiling could scare someone but these derms are harmless.
